Toronto – April 5, 2015 – MUJI CANADA LIMITED is pleased to announce that MUJI Atrium Workshop Vol.3: THANK YOU, MOM! THANK YOU! was a real success.
Like in March, the registration for the third edition of monthly workshops was full in only few hours. This time, while learning how to make DIY Kirie (the Japanese art of paper cutting) Mother’s day designs on paper gift bag, participants had the chance to experience MUJI’s concept of simplicity and aesthetic inspired by Japanese lifestyle and philosophy, implemented to our everyday life.
About the instructor:
Everyone calls him the unofficial ambassador of Japan. A title well- deserved considering JOE TAMKO’s incredible path, starting in Japan as a Talent on Fuji TV’s Regular Prime time TV show. As a Fashion Designer, under the name of KAMISAMA, he creates an exclusive Kirie inspired women collection for JACK OF ALL TRADES, the No.1 apparel company in Canada for Marvel and DC licensed T-shirts. He designed creations for the well-known Japanese rock band DIR EN GREY and the actresses of X-MEN: Days of Future Past during their Montreal shooting.
MUJI, originally founded in Japan, sells a wide variety of household, apparel and food products since 1980. From its beginning, MUJI has been committed to streamlining processes, selection of materials and simplification of packaging to provide good quality products at reasonable prices. Addition to more than 385 MUJI stores in Japan now, 255 stores in other countries including Asia, Europe, and the USA.
