Exhibition time: October 1 – 22, 2014
People see colours everyday in the world around them. Everyone sees them and feels differently about them. Visually and historically, different colours and combinations of colours applied in general in artwork mean different things visually and symbolically to people and all artists personally around the world.
Specific selected colours are used intentionally by artists in their artwork historically, and to continue this tradition, our group of 11 participating artists for this group art exhibition, will pay close attention to the act of creating visually fused and integrated drawn and painted imagery together while working conceptually, symbolically and spiritually with the use of colour. Priceless new and familiar meanings will pique the interest of and engage viewers intimately. It is our intention to have people appreciate and celebrate their experiences in the world around them both past and present in relation to the idea of colour in more ways than they could ever think was possible and/or imaginable and on a daily basis after they’ve reviewed our art exhibition.
For our group art exhibition, Chroma & Hue featuring 11 participating artists, it is our pleasure and intention to invite people to continue and celebrate the journey about colours being applied historically by artists and designers in their artwork and to reinforce and expand upon the idea of using colour in our artwork as a key element to artistic expression; touching people and enlightening them intimately along the way about life, places and past, current and future event & stories in the world around us. We hope to offer people some timeless insight and stories visually that they will take home with them within their minds, hearts and souls about colour in relation to everyday life and imagery and have these compelling and beautiful visual experiences stay with them long after they’ve left seeing our group art exhibition of images and most likely, forever.
