Finally, the beautiful summer has come to Toronto.Speaking of summer music tradition in Toronto, ELECTRIC ISLAND is something that you shouldn’t miss.Toronto Island will be a place that enthuses a lot of music lovers this year as well.
–Electric Island 2016: On Victoria Day–, Sven Vath the leader of Cocoon Recordings appeared and the audience danced to his outstanding music performance. Moreover, JAMIE JONES who is popular in groovy house music and DJ TENNIS who is a well-known DJ among dance lovers made the crowd intoxicated with their exciting music and good beer under the crystal clear sky.
Electric Island concert + picnic series returns for its fourth annual year with a fresh lineup of summer fun taking place on Toronto Island. Each of the five dates that have been announced-May 23rd, July 1st, August 1st and September 4th & 5th, will feature international and local talent in an outdoor park side setting, overlooking Toronto’s waterfront and skyline. Officially closing each of Toronto’s four summer long weekends, this open air showcase is accessible via the Toronto Island Ferry.

Electric Island 2016: Victoria Day
Following the announcement of Electric Island’s 2016 season lineup, we couldn’t help but whisper our thoughts on which acts would grace us at the Victoria Day season opener. Well, Toronto you can call off your bets, because the news is here! On Monday, May 23rd, we’re ecstatic to welcome the legendary Sven Väth, Jamie Jones, DJ Tennis, Job Jobse and local favourites Nature of Music, Jonathan Rosa and Brian Johnson to kick off what will undoubtedly be a remarkable summer in the city!
As music lovers make their way across the sparkling blue waters and depart the ferry, they’ll instantly be immersed into the magic of Hanlan’s Point. The vibe that is created from Electric Island is truly like no other. Your ears will tingle as they warm up to the melodic, daytime sounds of local acts Nature of Music, Jonathan Rosa and Brian Johnson. Attendees will get a delightful blend of uplifting, atmospheric house and techno from Amsterdam’s Job Jobse. Life and Death label boss and music extraordinaire, DJ Tennis will engulf us with his deeply powerful and hypnotic soundscapes. We’ll enjoy the upbeat, funky house that Paradise chief, Jamie Jones has become notorious for. Last but certainly not least, electronic music’s infamous Sven Väth, or rather “Papa Sven” will be back at Electric Island to deliver once more! See you on May 23rd, as we celebrate the beginning to our Electric Island season!
